Five Best Sports For Your Kids

There’s nothing more exciting and thrilling than sports specially for kids. However, kids are not allowed to play all sorts of sports. Considering their safety, age, and immunity it’s advisable to start with less tricky sports that they easily can learn and enjoy. Unfortunately, today’s kids are more addicted to technical devices rather than outdoor games. Consequently, they are prone to develop serious lifestyle diseases. To ensure a better healthy future for your kids, let them play the following sports.

  1. Soccer: It’s undoubtedly one of the most popular sports around the world and the best part is that your five-year-old can also play it on the playground albeit with a smaller ball. It’s a team sport that automatically drags the attention of the children. Apart from the fun part of this exciting sport, it also offers many health benefits. It helps the kid build strong immunity, flexibility, balance, and more. When kids are a part of any team they automatically learn discipline, teamwork, and develop leadership skill.
  2. Basketball: The popularity of basketball is on the rise across the world. The reason is its simple rules and countless coaching centers everywhere. Kids find this game challenging and eagerly join any group. It also offers myriad health benefits similar to soccer. Kids get to develop hand eye co-ordination, endurance, body balance, and more. Retired basketball coach Joseph Alan Kikuchi, says that any team sport boosts up their confidence.
  3. Cycling and swimming: Both are equally essential for physical fitness and more importantly cycling and swimming are very easy to learn. Doctors also advise the elderly people to start doing it. Cycling riding is a fun exercise which enhances cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscle strength, and also help them control weight. Similarly, swimming is also a type of freehand exercise that tones muscles and enhances body strength. Healthy heart, brain, and lungs are assured if you take your kids for swimming and cycling.
  4. Skating: Kids love to take part in skating and there’s no harm if your kid wants to start it at the age of five. Kids can start inline skating at an early age but only after proper training. Make sure that your little one is protected with helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards. Studies have proven that skating is like a complete aerobic workout session that involves the heart and all body muscles. So it is equivalent to any exercise like jogging and running. It also helps them reduce body fat and enhances their leg strength.
  5. Tennis: Another safe game that your kid can learn is tennis. Its benefits are often compared to regular physical exercises like jogging, swimming, cycling, and running. Like any other sports it also increases energy level and offers cardiovascular health benefits. In addition to that, this particular sport needs rigorous strength. Consequently, it increases hand and leg muscle strength.

According to Joseph Alan Kikuchi, kids who play on the playground are more likely to do well in studies. It helps them concentrate on their studies as well. So let them play more but ensure proper safety first. Remember, training is a must for any outdoor sports.

Those who don’t have the time to get proper training or find the coaching centers pretty expensive, they choose the internet as a medium to access the online training videos. More importantly, they can watch the videos at their convenience. So in a way basketball is accessible to all now.

Participation in the sport: According to the former basketball coach Joseph Alan Kikuchi, players now have the scope to build a strong network with other talents of different skill sets across the world using the internet. Potential players get to interact and participate in different tournaments in various locations. It’s getting easier for the selectors to pick the new talents.

Exciting and engaging game: Like soccer and cricket, basketball is a team game and it demands individual skills and collective performance to lead the team ahead in the race. So men in a group feel so motivated when they appear on the ground. Unlike golf and tennis, basketball has that essential charm that drags the audience in the stadium.

Evolution of the game: Today’s basketball stars tend to draw more attention than the yesteryear legends. Many significant changes in terms of strategy made this game even easier to master. Now the fans are always connected to their favorite stars and because of its popularity, frequent matches have been organized between high schools, colleges, and clubs.

Those who have been following this game over a decade will agree that basketball has become more exciting, popular and engaging in the recent past. According to Joseph Alan Kikuchi, the internet is not the only reason that made it so popular but the evolution of the sport made a difference. Earlier this sport was limited to boys of a particular age but now girls are equally enjoying this sport and making headlines with their talents.

5 Reasons To Attend Church Every Week

If you ask a Christian why he goes to church in a hectic routine, the obvious answer would be to pray. Sunday allures us with so many offers starting from late rise, party, trip but still you will find some church bound people. Not everyone is religious but attend church to confront their misdeeds. They find it cosy to sit for a while. Here are five admitted reasons why people give their attendance in the church at least once ion a week.

Religious impact: Being a follower of Jesus Christ many head for the church to show their utmost respect. They also encourage other to join them in the church. They pray to their God for good health, prosperity and peace. Daily life may not allow everyone to pay a visit but over the weekends they go to church to worship God. It falls under their routine.

Spiritual strength: According to many Christians they get strength and collect positive energy from the church. When there's someone to influence you spiritually you will automatically get convinced with what he has to say. Through prayers and preaching, you will get to learn sacrifice. It generates faith, love, hope and patience. So people go there to get proper guidance. Joseph Alan Kikuchi finds similar relief when he spends some time in a church.

To confront any guilt: One of the major reasons for Christians to attend church is the direct confrontation. They use it as a medium to connect with the almighty. Our conscience alerts us when we intentionally commit any crime. When we don't have the guts to accept the mistake publicly we take the help of god and write what we have to say. It's all about what you believe. Many feel guilt-free once they share it in the church.

Go with tradition: Most of the Christians have a tradition to visit the church as many times they can. Those who are brought up in such families they make it a habit since their childhood. They never question about its impact. They practice Christianity and as a believer of Christ, they visit the church to solve any problem, to share happiness, to celebrate their life and sometimes they just go there to sit idle.

Church builds community: Some people are dedicated to bring a significant change in our society. That's not possible if you are alone. Churches are involved in so many activities. They form a community to look after social issues, help poor and organise camp and clinic. People show their interest in such good deeds. Despite being involved in so many things Joseph Alan Kikuchi attends church every week with an aim to be a part of the healthy community .Their interactions at church often lead to healthy friendship as the overall environment is ideal for strong bonding. Other believers who also visit church help fellow visitors to stay strong in tough time.

Research says women are more church-bound than men and there's no point for guessing that elderly people make their presence felt more than youngsters. One obvious reason is they get more free time while this generation has a plethora of options to be engaged with. Still what drags them to the peaceful adobe is their urge to attend prayer, seek blessings and to remain good at heart.

Joseph Alan Kikuchi is man of many talents. He had been the basketball coach for 30 years. Presently he operates banana distribution in a reputed company. He is happily married and blessed with three children.

But the new budding hearts who are passionate about the game, sometimes forget some of the important rules associated with this game. For them, his article will be a quick recap about all the important rules of basketball.

Basketball is a team sport played between two teams. Every team will comprise of five players. Each of the player along with their respective team works with a single objective- shooting the ball through a particular hoop located in the both ends of the court. The court is of rectangular shape where a hoop which is popularly known as the basket is erected at 10 feet above the ground. The court is divided into two equal sections which is known as the mid court line. Both the teams play in outscoring the opponent by throwing the ball through their basket and also stopping them from doing so on their own basket. A successful shot will give the team 2 points. The team can score three points if the shot was taken beyond the three point arc (6.75 meters). This three point arc is another important feature in the court. If a team scores after a foul has been committed on them, then they will get 1 point.

The ball is moved through the court towards the basket by passing and dribbling. While the team with the ball want to score a basket and earn points, the other team tries to prevent them from doing so by stealing the ball or blocking their moves. Generally, a game is played in four quarters. The duration of each quarter can be 10 minutes or 12 minutes depending on the association the game is being played. At a moment, a team can be five players in the court but they can be substituted whenever the play stops and at the discretion of the referee. Deliberate physical contact to prevent the opponent from playing the normal game can be considered as a foul. Whenever a team commits a foul then the other team is offered a free shot. Accordingly, there are various forms of violations in the game. A player should appropriate behave, walk run, dribble, carry the ball according to the established rules.
